About Charlene Bonnick
Charlene Bonnick is the head therapist and founder of Desired Outcome Mental Health Services. She is a dedicated registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. With a rich background in social services dating back to 2010, she is armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, obtained at Yorkville University.
Charlene provides psychotherapy to individual adults, youth, couples and family. She brings a wealth of knowledge to the therapeutic journey. She has experience assisting people with a wide range of mental health issues, relational issues and life transitions. She has a keen interest in anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, racial trauma and anti-Black racism. Her approach to treatment is a blend, weaving together and drawing from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-focused therapy and Mindfulness based therapy techniques. This integrative approach allows her to collaborate with her clients to tailor sessions to the clients unique needs, fostering a collaborative and effective path to positive change.
